Makeup Swatches

Good morning ladies. ^___^

So as promised. Here are swatches and a little bit review of the products I have in hand. =D

They are up for review! =D Let' start!

Let's start with the blusher and the lip plumper. =D

Brand: Make Up For Ever

Product Name: Sculpting Blush

Shade: 10

Texture: Matte; with a tiny gold tiny glitters

Packaging: Slick. Has magnetic opener. 

My verdict: 

Packaging wise, the magnetic opener dah tercabut pun. At first I taught it's good to have the magnetic hold to it...but pagi ni bukak the other metal yang melekat kat top lid dah tercabut dah . T_T Even it has a string magnetic kat bottom part, if yang kat top lid dah tercabut macam tak guna jugak la kan? T_T But I love the texture. Glitters dia tak banyak macam eyeshadow. Boleh ignore je la glitter tu. =D

Brand: Laura Mercier

Product Name: Lip Plumper

Shade: Pink Pearl

Texture: Sheer lip gloss with gold tiny glitters.

Packaging: Square tube. Chic.  

My verdict: 

As I put it on my lips, I can feel a tingling sensation on my lips. May be effect die nak plump up the lips kot. But after that, my lips look a little bit fuller. =D Since the lipgloss is sheer, it gives jusssst a little bit of color on the lips. For me, I think I kena pakai lipstick before putting it on. =D But I looooove the packaging.

Next! The Urban Decay Ammo palette. =D

Brand: Urban Decay

Product Name: Shadow Ammo

Shades: Above: Smog, Mildew, Oil Slick, Last Call, Chopper, Below: Maui Wowie, Shattered, Polyester Bride, Grifter Sin

Texture: Shimmery with glitters

Packaging: Black square box with velvet pistol embellishment with magnetic opening. Comes with tdouble sided sponge tip applicator. 

My verdict: 

Some of the shades are not very well pigmented and contains chunky glitters; like Grifter and Polyester Bride. Oil Slick pun ada chunky glitters which will result in glitters fall out on your cheeks; making it a little bit messy. But Oil Slick pigmentation is very good. I love it. As for Mildew, Shattered, Smog, and the rest of the shades, I can say I'm quite happy dengan pigmentation of the shades. The sponge tip applicator, well, what could I say. Cause I am not a big fan of sponge tip. May be I can use it for putting on shadow on the tear duct. Okay that will do =D

Hoooooolllyyy grail! =D Hehehehe. Now it's time for tne Naked palette. =D

Brand: Urban Decay

Product Name: Naked

Shades: Virgin, Sin, Naked, Sidecar, Buck, Half Baked, Smog, Darkhorse, Toasted, Hustle, Creep, Gunmetal

Texture:  Matte and Satin

Packaging: Deep brown velvet rectangular shape box with magnetic opening. Comes with a mini version of Primer Potion and a synthetic flat shader brush.

My verdict:

1.The brush

I've been having a trouble picking up shadows using this brush. May be sebab it's a synthetic one. If it's a natural hair brush it will pick up a good amount of product. I was thinking of using the brush as a concealer brush of something. =D

2. The primer potion

This is the tiny version of the old primer potion (UDPP). Now, ada new version of the primer that comes in a tube; much like toothpaste tube; but with a similar (lip gloss) wand. The new version of the packaging gives advantage where you can use all the products sampai habis. Honestly I love the old packaging sebab nampak very "magical" sesuai la dengan nama dia 'primer potion'. Hehehe. For this tiny version of old packaging, it's quite a waste sebab kat dalam tu ada 'stopper'. You might think you ran out of primer but actually banyak lagi left inside. So you might want to depot it into a sample jar (which then tak bagus jugak sebab cepat oxidizes). But hey! It's free with the purchase of Naked palette. Guna saja lah. =D 

To those yang tak tahu what this primer potion (UDPP) does, it actually an eyeshadow base yang bantu eyeshadow you girls tahan lebih lama. I love this product sebab I can go anywhere under the hot whether more than 8 hours without worrying of my eyeshadow cair ke pudar ke. Sometimes I got questions from friends tanya...."eyeshadow tu tahan lama tak?" Actually what you are looking for if you have oily eye lids is the eye primer to avoid your eyeshadow from ceasing. Even for dry eyelids pun, eyeshadow takkan tahan lama sampai 8jam macam tu. So the primer helps it stays on your eyes sepanjang hari. Oh panjang nya. Tugas primer potion ni akan I discuss later; if ada permintaan. =D

This UDPP has a skintone color; more like a concealer color. When you put it on your eyes, it gives that sticky feels to it. So that the eyeshadow you put on akan ada 'pelekat' yang akan hold your eyeshadow. =D heee.

3. The Naked Palette

There are two colors in the palette sama dengan Ammo palette. They are Smog and Sin. I compare these two shades from the two palettes. Smog in Ammo palette has better pigmentation while Sin gives the same pigmentation consistency in the two palettes. Virgin, which is the lightest shade has powdery texture which I dont really like. Naked pulak is the closest color to my skintone. Which is perfect for blending colors on the browbone. =D The gold shade, Half Baked, aaaa...gorgeous. You can see from the swatches below. This palette doesn't has blackest black shade. But Creep is like dark grey color with a mixture of gold and silver tiny glitters in it. Gunmetal pulak...is a satin grey color eyeshadow and very gorgeous. =D Overall I love this palette soo much because of the consistency of the shades in terms of the pigmentation. ^_^ It's a worth buying palette. =D

O my....that's it for the swatches and reviews. Hehehe. I told you....don't get me started with make up. Memang panjang lebar la I tulis. Hehehe. Please don't ask me the prices. LOL. You can find it in Sephora either in Bukit Bintang or KLCC. =D So far, Naked palette ni memang cepat habis macam goreng pisang panas. If you girls beli online pun...the cheapest I found is RM220. =D Jadi better beli kat Sephora je. Hihihi. So....I hope dah menjamu mata few of you girls yang nak tahu how these items looks like. =D Hehehe. I hope I didn't bore you with such details. Hehehe.
