Halal Food: Bali Survival Kit

Salam ladies. ^_^

ALERT!
Entry is floaded with foodies.
Sekiranya anda lapar, baik makan dulu.
Takut hilang selera makan. Hikhik

The most common question I got when I came back from Bali is about halal food. As you girls know, agama rasmi Bali is Hindu. Jadi memang susah nak cari halal food dekat sana. Fav food orang Bali is this...

Haaa...nampak tak? yang belah kanan signboard warna merah tu. hihihi. :D Ayam pun susah nak makan kat sana sebab diorang tak sembelih ikut cara Islam. Jadi to be safe, kami makan vegetables, telur ayam, dan seafoods je kat sana. Seriously susah nak makan. *_*

Jom tengok makanan kami sepanjang kat sana. Penuh dengan vege, telur, dan ikan. T_T

Vege mee goreng for breakfast on day 2
Tomato soup for starter Candle lite dinner kat tepi swimming pool, Day 2.

Salad, starter for candle lite dinner day 2

Main course during candle lite dinner. Grilled fish something something. T_T Dah la tak pedas T_T Day 2

My main course, Steamed fish dengan mashed potato. T_T tak pedas. T_T Day 2

Desert. Pancake and banana split. Day 2

Breakfast Day 3. Continental breakfast: Breads.
And vege nasi goreng (my husband memang suka nasi goreng) T_T

Lunch at Kintamani Day 3. Tuna satay and fish apentah name die. T_T Tak sodap. T_T

Mee dan nasi goreng vegetables. Lunch at Kintamani Day 3

Ni adalah seafood kat Jimbaran Bay.
Super delicious (sebab pedas).
Thank God I found these foods. Day 4.

Lunch Last day Day 5. Spring rolls yang sedap ^_^

Lunch. Ikan masak apa tidak diketahui. *_* Tak sedap! T_T Day 5

Pencake lagi. T_T Day 5 Lunch

Steamed rice. Day 5 Lunch

Salad. Day 5. My husband kata sos dia rasa pelik. I didn't taste it. hehehe.

Jemu gila makan ikan je memanjang. Seriously. The ultimate...masa kat Kintamani...makan those satay and fried thingy yang membuatkan I kembang tekak. Seriously. T_T Nasib baik sangat we decided nak makan kat Jimbaran for sunset dinner. Super sedap. ^_^

Selain makanan di atas yang ditemui kat Bali, I bawa kari ayam dalam tin (tin dia ada gambar Chef Wan). Tu je la julung-julung kalinya I makan ayam kat Bali. Tu pun import dari KL. Lain-lain I bawa la sardin and maggi. Milo pon I bawa since it's husband's fav. Tapi ada je jual Milo kat sana. Nasib baik jugak ada kitchen. Senang nak masak sendiri kat sana. Tak la kebulur. ^_^

Ha. Sudah terjawab kah persoalan anda? hehe. I tak jumpa restoran Wong Solo kat sana. And kami tak berani nak makan KFC ke McD ke kat sana sebab takut ayam dia tak disembelih cara Islam. Hehe.

So...sesiapa nak pergi Bali for Honeymoon, sila la bawa maggi dengan Chef Wan sekali. Sangat-sangat berguna. I ngan husband balik KL, terus cari daging. Lama kot 5hari tak makan daging. Haha. ^_^

Ok. Babai! Next entry I nak tempek banyak-banyak gambar honeymoon. Hehe.

XOXO,
SCR

Darling...its easy to find halal food in Bali...seriously. 5 days I kat sana, finding halal food was not a problem.

First, our supir is a Muslim guy. He knows which restaurant yg halal..when you say halal means disembelih cara Islam and the utilities that they use pon clean from babi.

Second, when I booked the villa, I booked dati triways, took the honeymoon package...all the villas that they're offering all serve halal food.

Moose told me mcD and KFC kat sana Ada halal certificate from their local Islamic authority..

My supir told me, generally kedai masakan padang semua halal. Dekat kintamani pon he brought us to halal restaurant yg Ada surau.

My advice is, get a Muslim supir cos they know how to find halal food, and they know where to find tempat solat. I recommended my supper to moose, from the feedback, she satisfied with his service, so did i :)

Apa2 pon, our local food lagi sedap kan...hehe. And dinner at jimbaran mmg romantic!!! ;)

Tahirah, actually, masa pergi jalan2 tu...we didn't get a chance to eat pon. except for the kintamani visit. Kat situ the supir brought us to Muslim's restaurant. But they only serves fish...like the above pics. That's the only day that we ate outside villa besides Jimbaran dinner. ^_^ But true...sgt best mkn kat local sebab tak perlu rasa waswas. hehe

Nurainie, unfortly, our supir is Hindu. But he knows some halal food there. Cumanya, schedule kami packed sikit. Jadi jarang makan kat luar. When we went back to the villa, I cooked dinner and we ate. ^_^ But next time sure I need your recommendation. ^_^

Lady of Leisure, wah...how come everybody got Muslim supir? And ate ayam somemore kat Bali. *_* Our supir was introduced to us by my brother-in-law. He went to bali for honeymoon last october and he highly recommended the supir. So, when we got there, we just contacted him. and yup he was awesome. haha. But tak puas hati how come semua orang boleh makan dengan senang kat sane? hahaha

lucky tahirah recommended me her supir. yup, pak anto is highly recommended. i think food was not a major problem to us. the first day in bali we went to McD. FYI McD and KFC are certified halal by Majlis Ulama Indonesia (MUI).

also, macam tahirah cakap, almost all nasi padang is halal.
