First Fitting Experience

Excited....mau cerita berkongsi pengalaman first fitting. Hehehe. As you girls know, semalam (Ahad) I pergi first fitting. FYI, I never pergi testing baju kat butik or whatsoever. So..this is totally my first experience. Hehe.

Dari blogs yang I baca (thanx a lot pada sesiapa yang pernah buat entry pasal first fitting ^_^)...I kentalkan mental (kENTALkan mENTAL? gila kentang! haha). I knew that on the first fitting, things are not yet completed. Jadi kita kena lebih open minded. Tujuan fitting adalah untuk tengok, design yang mulanya atas paper, okay ke tak bila dah transform dalam bentuk baju. Jadi usually masa first fitting, beading and patching tak buat lagi. Sebabnya, once patching and beading dah dibuat kat baju, then it would be difficult to alter. Ye la....masa ambil measurement pinggang 34...first fitting turun 32. Tak ke naya if beading dah dibuat....tak pasal-pasal je satu kerja pulak nak tanggal kan balik semua-semua tu and it would take longer time. Betul tak? hehe

Masa first fitting jugak la...kena kuatkan semangat....tengok kain yang you all beli riban-riban tu ikut tak 100% design yang you all dah approved or the dress maker simply tukar the design without your consent. Kan kan kan? Jangan cepat melenting. Instead, consult the dress maker nicely. Make it comfortable for both of you and the dress maker. Trust me, diorang pun nervous nak bagi client try the dress for the first time.

So...here's the sneak peak of my nikah dress. It's a simple baju kurung moden. Not in white. But some other color so that I will feel comfortable recycle the dress kat kenduri orang. Hehehe. The patching tak buat lagi. The lengan sangat kecil that I would barely masukkan tangan dalam sleeves. Time ni memang kelakar la sebab bayangkan I dah masukkan tangan dua-dua belah...tapi sebab ketat sangat, I tak boleh angkat tangan untuk fully zipped up my dress. haha. Funny. Jadi I asked my designer to alter the sleeves. But I totally in love with the kain and the dress color. Not that flowy macam the famous Sab Sabby punya kain nikah. But it's definitely flowy. (Tested sebab kat his house sangat windy...and we can see the flowy-ness. Hehe). The veil....I'm in love too. The length and the patching is superb. I love those. Beading tak buat lagi la tapi. 

Next my sanding dress....can I say 'I can see myself getting married now'? Even without beading. hahaha. I love it too. Patching tak buat lagi. The dress is in soft color. Simple dress like I always wanted; but with a dramatic veil; just like I wanted. hihi. This time, the sleeves terlebih besar la pulak. Actually ok je. Takde la besar sangat. Tapi I nak the sleeves ketat...jadi I asked him to make alterations. Suprisingly, I lost some weight. Risau okay....sebab my waist pun turun 2inches...from 34. Risau takut lama-lama I vanish dari muka bumi ni sebab terlalu kurus. T_T Huuuuu. So...part pinggang pun he has to make alterations.

Then, my tandang dress...this one is like totally out of my imagination. Because what I actually wanted was something else. Something that spelled Melayu. Tapi....this look a little bit modern and different from the sketch. But what to do? Dah cut pun the kain and dah jahit pun jadi dress. I macam sangat-sangat open minded sekarang ni. hehe. Hopefully this dress turn out gorgeous too. And again...since I lost some weight...he needs to do some alterations kat bahagian pinggang ke hips. T-T The veil tak siap lagi....and I was a little bit nervous on that. Sebab I dont know what to expect from chiffon veil. Hopefully it would complement the dress like reaally realllly complement the dress. ^_^

Lepas I test all the dresses, he took my fiance's measurement pulak for baju melayu and baju tandang. Sengaja ambil lambat-lambat sebab nak the designer concentrate on my dresses dulu then baru his. Next fitting tak tahu lagi. May be second fitting sekali dengan my fiance's first fitting. ^_^

Jadi macamane? Ok tak? You girls punya experience macam mana? I was ecstatic masa pakai dresses tu. Tak sabar dah nak naik pelamin. haha.
